This year was the 80th Anniversary for the Florida Strawberry Festival! Although the weather didn't cooperate for the first three days, it didn't stop many people from spending at least one day at the Florida Strawberry Festival. The entertainment was super and most fans were not going to let the weather keep them from enjoying their favorite entertainers.

Do to some weather constraints, the crowds poured in for the last weekend with over 230,000 thousand people in attendance during the weekend. It was our understanding that all the strawberry shortcake locations on the grounds sold out of shortcake on the last day, and I am sure many people were disappointed they waited until the last day to "join the party".

Once again it was great to see so many of our friends and customers this year, and even seeing old classmates from high school I haven't seen for _?__ years. It was also so nice to see get to visit with the nurse who took care of Margaret Mitchell the night she was brought to Grady Memorial Hospital that fatal evening of August 16, 1949. Although Wilma is already 86 years old, she is such a precious lady and we hope to have her around for many more years.

So ... all of the more than 2,500 volunteers and all of us vendors, etc., can say we "Joined the Party" at the 2015 Florida Strawberry Festival!
