Every time I see this scene, I always wonder what the rest of that dress must have looked like! This scene where Scarlett and Rhett are on their honeymoon at a New Orleans cafe, shows Scarlett in this dress with four birds perched on her right arm/shoulder.
The chef at the Ambassdor Hotel himself had prepared for this scene three swans carved out of ice -- these held odd candies and rare fruit. There were breasts of pheasants, doves in wine, broiled fish, all kinds of expensive cakes and pastries, liquors, and champagne. Poor Vivien Leigh! There were many rehearsals and there could be no pretense about it -- she had to eat!
