We have just read that American Movie Classics is having a new documentary/biography special on the life of Hattie McDaniel - "Beyond Tara - The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel" narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, Tuesday, August 7, 10pm, AMC.

Finally this great actress is being honored.
