From all reports (and there have been MANY), the "GWTW Remembered" exhibit in Gadsden, Alabama is a wonderful success. Originally opened the first week of July, this exhibit contains more than 1,000 pieces of GWTW memorabilia from the private collection of Author/Collector/Lecturer, HERB BRDIGES.
The exhibit is located at the Center for Cultural Arts in Gadsden, Alabama. Exhibit curator George Terrell, Jr. has had special GWTW guests appear at the exhibit and has even more scheduled to come:
CAMMIE KING (our lil' Bonnie Blue) delighted hundreds of visitors the first weekend in August.
MARYANNE WALKER, author of "Love Letters Behind Gone With the Wind, will be there on October 7th for a lecture and booksigning. Herb will also be at the exhibit this weekend.
FRED CRANE, who portrayed Brent Tarleton, will be visiting the exhibit for two appearances on October 27th and 28th.
So, if you have not yet visited the exhibit, it does run through November 4th. Sadly, this will be the last time many of these items will be available for public viewing, as Herb has made the decision to place his collection for auction with Christie's Auction House next spring.
