PHOTO DESCRIPTIONS - Left to Right:
1. The Marietta trolley has Ann Rutherford taking a quick break for a second from waving to the crowd. (Bob Rosterman is in full swing as he waves to parade attendees.)

2. This photo inside the museum shows just a small sample of those who waited in line to secure autographs from all the cast members.

3. Chris Sullivan and Ann Rutherford enjoyed the wonderful brunch held at the Marietta Country Club.

4. Patrick Curtis takes a look at the neat collage given to him by Windies showing photos from the many years he has participated to help keep GWTW alive in our minds and hearts. (NOW ... if you weren't there, there is just no way I can describe the surprise visit from some "special people" in his past. You'll just have to ask him about it!!!)

5. Saturday evening guests were asked to dress in military costume and these two were just super!!

6. Mickey, Patrick, and I participated by dressing in costume. Mickey in his Zoot Suit, me in my military hospital nurse uniform, Fred in his spiffy evening wear, and Patrick as 'Jughead' from the comic strip, Archie.

7. This photo shows that even at 90 years old, Fred can still get out on the dance floor and boogie with the best! And, yes, Terry kept right up with him!

8. Ann Rutherford was able to sign the outside of truck on her image as Carreen. (Cammie's, Mickey's, and Patrick's signatures had been signed at previous GWTW events.) Shown in the photo are Fred, Patrick, Cammie, Ann, and Terry.

A great time was certainly had by all who attended the STAR-SPANGLED SCARLETT WEEKEND July 4-6, 2008 sponsored by the Marietta Gone With the Wind Museum. The museum holds the private collection of Dr. Chris Sullivan of Akron, Ohio and Connie Sutherland is the Director of the museum. It is hard to believe that Chris has been there five years already!

The weekend included FRED CRANE (Brent Tarleton), ANN RUTHERFORD (Carreen O'Hara), MICKEY KUHN (Beau Wilkes at age 7), CAMMIE KING (Bonnie Blue Butler) and PATRICK CURTIS (Beau Wilkes after the war), RHETT and LYNN BUTLER (Rhett Butler Trucking) and LARRY and JUDY WEAVER (official truck driver of the wonderful Rhett Butler Truck, "Miss Scarlett").

Friday's activities included a 4th of July Parade, a visit to the museum, and an autograph signing time by all the cast members. Saturday included a brunch at the Marietta Country Club (plus a special celebration in honor of Patrick's 70th birthday) and a swap meet outside the museum in the afternoon. Saturday evening at the Hilton Hotel (Convention Center) requested that guests dress in 1940's attire or military costumes to salute our military personnel. After dinner, following a special salute to all branches of the military, a great time was had on the dance floor by many of the quests.

Thanks to ALL who helped make this a super weekend for all the Windies, and especially to the City of Marietta for their support of the museum.
