A recent call from Terry Crane this evening has brought us the sad news that FRED CRANE (Brent Tarleton from GWTW) passed away just a few minutes after noon today.
My mind is racing with the memories of this past 4th of July weekend we spent with Fred. He always had wonderful stories to share with us. I'll always remember he and Al (Ann Rutherford's friend who accompanied her to the event in Marietta) singing lines from old songs, one right after the other, while we were in the van; he was so enjoying it. He was such a trooper during all the activities, kept up with all of us as we went from one activity to another, and never complained. Of course, Ann was too, as they both made some of the younger ones feel guilty about trying to keep up. When we went to dinner after the final activities on Sunday, Fred ordered buffalo as did many of the others (I just couldn't) --- I will never think of anyone eating buffalo again without thinking of Fred.
Please remember Terry and the other family members that God will give them peace, strength, and comfort during the days that are ahead ....
