5TH ANNUAL

TREES OF CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

AND AUCTION

This year's theme..."Christmas To Music"

Also, A Very Special Luncheon Hosted by GWTW Expert Herb Bridges

Lawrenceburg, Tennessee is definitely the place to catch the Christmas Spirit early when the Friends of Lawrenceburg & Lawrenceburg Beautification present their 5th Annual "Trees of Christmas Festival & Silent Auction", at the Crockett Arts Center in downtown Lawrenceburg.

This special event features an eclectic collection of unique trees sponsored by many of individuals and businesses as a fundraiser for a community beautification project. Making it even more fun, there is a different theme used each year. This year's theme being "Christmas to Music", each tree will represent a special song and not necessarily a Christmas song. Bidding is conducted by Silent Auction (you don't have to be present to win the bid) on either the complete package (decorations and tree) or separately. There are 25 or more trees, all shapes, colors, and sizes, and also many beautiful holiday wreaths and arrangements. Special trees this year include: "On The Good Ship Lollipop" (Shirley Temple) Tree; "I Like Life" (A Christmas Carol) Tree; "Buffalo Gal, Won't You Come Out Tonight?" (It's A Wonderful Life) Tree: "You Light Up My Life" (Lighthouse) Tree; "Your Kiss Is On My List" Tree; "I Just Called To Say I Love You" Seasonal Tree; and featuring "My Own True Love" (Gone With The Wind) Tree, plus many more.

This year, the Festival of Trees will present a very special guest to add to the excitement and fun...Mr. Herb Bridges, noted Gone With The Wind historian and author. Mr. Bridges will be the host at a special luncheon on Saturday, November 15th, 12:00 Noon, at Coleman Methodist Church, where he will present a narrative on the making of this legendary film. Mr. Bridges will also make a personal appearance before the showing of the movie at the Historic Crockett Theatre at 6:00pm on Saturday, Nov. 15th. There will also be a documentary shown at the theatre on Friday evening, Nov. 14th, at 6:00pm, on the making of Gone With The Wind. The ticket price of the total package to attend the films on Friday and Saturday evenings and also the luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 15th is $40.00 per person.

The event will open to the public on Veterans' Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11th and closed on Sunday, Nov. 23rd, just in time for everyone to get their bids in on their favorite trees, wreaths, arrangements, etc., and have them ready to place in their homes right after Thanksgiving.

Funds raised this year will purchase new "Winter" seasonal banners for the City of Lawrenceburg.

If one sentence can sum up this beautiful, unusual collection it is..."These Ain't Your Mama's Christmas Trees!" You won't want to miss this wonderful opportunity to "catch the spirit early" in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and help the City of Lawrenceburg begin their year-long celebration of the 70th anniversary of the beloved classic movie Gone With The Wind.
