"TEATIME WITH BONNIE BLUE BUTLER"
Lawrenceburg, Tennessee Celebrates the Making of the Classic Movie
Gone With The Wind
Dateline, Lawrenceburg, TN
Cammie King Conlon, aka Bonnie Blue Butler of Gone With The Wind fame, will appear in Lawrenceburg, TN, on Friday & Saturday, April 4 & 5, 2009, as the guest of honor at three very special events.
Ms. Conlon, who is one of the few surviving cast members of the beloved classic film which was made in 1939, will be visiting Tennessee for the very first time and is quite excited about her visit. Ms. Conlon's brief acting career also included being the voice of the young female deer "Faline" in the Walt Disney animated classic "Bambi", and she appeared in a "Blondie" movie.
Tentative plans are for the former child actor to host Teatime with Bonnie Blue Butler, a southern luncheon on Saturday, April 4th, at 2:00pm, at the Coleman Memorial Methodist Church's Fellowship Hall, where she will give a personal account of appearing in the film when only five years of age.
Ms. Conlon will appear at a Dinner/Dance on Saturday evening, April 4th, at the WLX Radio Cafe in Lawrenceburg.
On Sunday, April 5, Ms. Conlon will be the special guest at a Mother/Daughter Tea Party (for little girls 2 - 8) at 2:00pm, again at Coleman Methodist Church.
In 2009, Lawrenceburg will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the making of Gone With The Wind the entire year with several featured events, including "A Salute to the Great State of Georgia" at their 8th Annual Libertyfest - 4th of July Festival (the two actors who portrayed Beau Wilkes will be the special guests of this event which will include a festival on the Public Square, food, fun, and fireworks). Lawrenceburg will also host a Civil War Re-enactment sometime during the fall season, 2009.
