While traveling on Sunday, we stopped to pick up a local newspaper and when one of our group was reading this article, we all were surprised at its content.
The article, released by the Associated Press, entitled "Some Afghanistans Await Monarch Return", starts off with ...
"The days of the king were so different, Afghans say. They remember happy school days, weekend picnics, nights spend watching 'GONE WITH THE WIND' or listening to Tom Jones records." If you can read it, try to read the rest of article. Somehow it doesn't enter our minds that Afghanistans used to "spent nights watching GWTW".
