I received this today from one of my close friends in the Atlanta area who thought I'd get a chuckle from this. It appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution under VIEWPOINTS on Sunday, April 11, 1999.
Just in case you can't read it too clearly, the man to the left tossing the book entitled "GWTW Sequel" is Pat Conroy. He says, "Frankly, my Dears, y'all can shove it ..." --- the lady at the door say, "Why, ah nevha!" (she represents the Mitchell Estate) --- the bottom right-hand corner says, "Y'll don't know nothin' bout birthin no sequel".
As you know, Pat Conroy (author of Prince of Tides) walked away from a deal he had been negotiating for almost 3 years to do a sequel to SCARLETT.
