During our Atlanta area visit this past weekend, we stopped by to visit Fred and Terry Crane at their new Bed & Breakfast, TARLETON OAKS, located in Barnesville, Georgia. They were so gracious and certainly practiced the true meaning of Southern hospitality -- AND we were greeted at the door by "Mammy" in full costume!!
Fred and Terry have turned this historic house into a beautiful Southern home. Terry seems to be one of those people who shows us that "no task is too large" and she and Fred both have had a "hands-on" involvement with the restoration of this historic home. They had their Grand Opening of TARLETON OAKS on July 1st.
Knowing that I had guests with me from England, we were wonderfully surprised to see they had prepared a "high tea" for us in their beautiful dining room. It was quite an honor to sit and just visit and talk about wonderful GWTW related subjects.
We certainly wish them well and GREAT SUCCESS with their new bed and breakfast!!
