"Treasure the Legend Music Box Collection" Series, Box No. 2
Music Box No. 2 of this series from Ardleigh Elliott, entitled "On Peachtree", the second issue of the "Treasure the Legend", features a fully sculptured re-creation of Aunt Pittypat's home and landscaping captured inside a mahogany-finished music box. Hand-crafted and painted in miniature, Scarlett and Rhett share a tender embrace on Peachtree Street in Atlanta.
A two-dimensional scene of the escape from burning Atlanta is the underside of the music box lid. At the turn of the key, the movie melody, "Scarlett O'Hara" plays on an 18-note musical movement. The music box case is hand-crafted with a beveled-corner design. A brass-finished plaque on the front of the box bears the film title. This limited edition piece comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity. The music box measures 7-1/2 inches wide.
